DREAM BIG BABY MASSAGE
The Full Story
In May 2018 our little boy, Max, was born early. It was a traumatic event during a time when we should have been at our most joyous. Max stayed in the neonatal unit for a month after he was born and every day was tough. However, as he grew stronger in his little incubator we felt more and more urge to bond and be closer to him, so a wonderful nurse showed us some simple baby massage strokes and that was it, we were hooked!
Since seeing the effects of baby massage on my own son, myself, and my husband I have realised just how important it is for a young baby and a new parent's development. It is scientifically proven to help with reflux, colic, sleep problems, digestive issues, teething and so much more. But the key for me was the bonding time I had with my son. It helped me to get through the trauma of the birth and be close to Max. It has also been proven to benefit Mums going through post-natal depression - so it is a wonderful, calming, and essential experience!
Because of this I decided to train for a Diploma in Teaching Infant Massage with To Baby and Beyond so I could share my love for baby massage with you all! This Diploma is accredited by the Royal College of Midwives, CPD, SThA, FEDANT, and IPTi

WHAT SERVICES DO WE OFFER?

Group Classes: We provide a 4 week course with small group numbers of no more than 8 babies with 1 carer each.
Each week we build up the strokes until in week 4 you feel confident with the full 45 minute massage.
Each session is 45-60 minutes plus time for a chat and refreshments afterwards!

DADS AND BABY MASSAGE
Dads and Babies should bond too!
I believe that baby massage should not just be for the Mums! My husband found it extremely important when bonding with our baby, and I know a lot of Dads sometimes feel they are missing out on that one-on-one time.
I will be offering 2 hour sessions on Saturdays for Dads to come along with their babies and learn some key strokes. During this time Mums can also come along for brunch and a natter and a bit of a breather from baby!

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO KNOW?!
All the important info:
Group courses will take place in central Weybridge during the working week - see above for upcoming courses and to book.
Babies can be massaged from birth until they are crawling - however I would recommend attending the class when your baby is 4 weeks or older so your baby can get the most from it.
I will provide either grapeseed or coconut oil for you to use but please bring your own oil if you would prefer.
Each group class is 45 minutes - 1 hour and the course runs for 4 weeks.
A 4 week course is between £47 and £60 - see specific event details above for pricing
I will have a couple of spare dolls on hand so if your baby is not feeling up to it you can still practice the strokes!
I will also provide handouts after each class so you can practice at home.
